Loeffler Construction & Consulting has been selected as the Construction Manager at Risk for the Expansion and Renovation of the University of Minnesota’s Transportation and Safety Building on Washington Avenue. Last month, a University Committee approved the Schematic Design for the $8.75 Million renovation and expansion project.
Slated to begin this fall, the project will consolidate all public safety divisions on the Minneapolis campus, including the police department, University Security and the Public Safety Emergency Communications Center under one roof. Centralizing these operations will help make public safety services more accessible and encourage interaction between students, staff and the visiting public.
Wold Architects and Engineers is the architect of record for the project.
