Earlier this summer we welcomed Drew Illetschko to our team as our 2021 Intern. Well, after a busy and successful summer, we asked him to stick around for good! We are so excited to announce that Drew has officially joined us as a Project Estimator.
We recently caught up with Drew to learn a little more about how he ended up in construction, and how his summer went as an intern:
My passion for construction can be dated back to when I was very little. I had always found interest in the way buildings were constructed and the processes that go behind it. My time in construction started about 3 years ago when I started college at the University of Minnesota, pursuing a degree in construction management. I initially was an undecided major for the first couple years of school, but through word of mouth, and an introductory Construction Management class, I found my calling in the industry! I truly enjoy learning something new every day, which stems from the fast-paced environment that the construction industry entails. With my newly acquired experience working as an assistant project engineer on three elementary school additions and two new high school sports domes, I am excited to apply the information I have learned and translate it into an asset that will excel and exceed the expectations of clients and Loeffler as a whole.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time in the outdoors all over the upper Midwest pursuing waterfowl, big game, and fishing. In addition, I also enjoy golfing, playing softball in the summer, and spending time with friends and family.
