As the leaves are beginning to change color and cooler weather creeps in, the University of Minnesota Knoll Area Infrastructure Improvement project is beginning to wrap up for the season. Active construction on Phase I, which focuses on the improvement and reconstruction of East River Road and Pillsbury Drive will wrap up in October, and construction will resume for Phase II in the summer of 2020. Phase II is focused on the reconstruction of the Institute for Child Development (ICD) access drive, as well as several other necessary updates to the surrounding area’s infrastructure.
It’s been a rollercoaster of a summer, navigating a civil project while having one of the wettest summers on record, but the Knoll team has remained upbeat and above all, SAFE! Last month we celebrated their dedication to safety with a BBQ lunch for everybody on-site.
Thank you to all our wonderful subcontractors! We look forward to continuing this project with you next spring!
