Loeffler Construction & Consulting is proud to support the University of Minnesota Chapter of Engineers Without Boarders USA (EWB-USA). Earlier this month, Sr. Project Manager, Sara Hudoba, and President, Doug Loeffler, met with a group of University students and faculty to donate a tool set to the program.
Currently, EWB-USA is working on projects in Filakit, Ethiopia and Paraxaj, Guatemala to improve the communities’ access to clean water. In Guatemala, the project focuses on building household access points linked to a community-wide distribution system. The Ethiopia team has a two-sided approach, focusing on enhancing the village’s residential drinking water infrastructure, and also building an innovative irrigation system for agricultural use.
We are proud to support these students, who are putting their engineering and sustainability interest into pragmatic solutions with lasting impact and can’t wait to see what they do in their future careers!
