Client:
University of Minnesota

Architect:

Loeffler Role:

Project Spec Sheet:
UMN South Church Street (972 KB)

The Project consisted of a reconstruction of Church Street SE, between Washington Ave SE and Delaware Street SE as a limited-access, pedestrian/bicycle facility, and includes reconstruction of the Mayo Garage access drive and utility improvements. Though only 1 block long, this project is complex in terms of access needs, staging and disruption-avoidance key issues in this busy section of the Academic Health Center district. Continuous (24 hour) access to the Mayo Garage was maintained throughout the project. Coordinated with occupants of neighboring buildings holding classes and research while construction was taking place.
