Project Spec Sheet:
UMN South Church Street (972 KB)
This University project consisted of utility improvements and a reconstruction of Church Street SE, between Washington Ave SE and Delaware Street SE. The project had limited access and served as a transportation route for pedestrians and bicycles on the University of Minnesota campus.
Though only one block long, this project was complex in terms of access needs, staging, and disruption-avoidance. Proper preconstruction planning was necessary to allow for 24-hour access to the Mayo Garage located near the project. Neighboring buildings held classes and conducted research during construction. Loeffler Construction & Consulting coordinated with nearby building occupants to mitigate disruption during construction.
